Why I Love Metricool
I have tried them all – CoSchedule, HootSuite, Buffer, Monday.com, and Meet Edgar. And they all attempt to do amazing things, but I never felt like they accomplished my goals.
I was tired of editing and scheduling every single social media post. I was tired of babysitting the program. I was tired of amateur AI edits. I wanted a social media planner to read my mind, schedule my blog posts (past and future), and that’s it!
When I discovered Metricool, I was very credulous. Could this scheduler actually schedule my blog posts for free and within 30 minutes? Could it create social media posts without me monitoring them? The answer is YES.
I have used Metricool for 5 months now, and I have ZERO complaints. No issues with the scheduling. No issue with data analysis. And no complaints – only social media engagement.
Set up a Free Metricool Account

- If you choose the second option, you’ll have to enter an email address and password. We’ll send you an email to the address you gave so you can finish registering and verify your email.
- Ready! Now you’re inside Metricool and can get down to work.

Scheduling Your Website RSS
With Metricool, it’s super easy to use your site RSS to schedule posts to the Metricool planner! I’ll show you how to find your site RSS and add it to Metricool.
1. Find Your RSS
WordPress: Just add /feed to the end of your domain and that is your RSS URL. Example:
https://yourdomain.com/feed
Squarespace: For custom domains, you’ll add /pageslug?format=rss to the end of your custom domain. For domains that include “squarespace” in the URL, use the pattern below. Example:
https://www.yourdomain.com/pageslug?format=rss
https://sitename.squarespace.com/pageslug?format=rss
Blogger: For domains that include “blogspot” in the URL, add /feeds/posts/default to the end of the URL. Example:
https://www.yourdomain.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default
2. How to set up recurring posts on Facebook
Here are the complete steps for scheduling your RSS to Metricool:
- Click “Planning” in the top header menu
- Click “Autolists” on the right in the submenu
- Click the black button “+ New Autolist“
- At the bottom of the page, click “Linked RSS Feed“
- Type your RSS URL (from above) and click “Search“
- When Metricool finds your RSS, you have a few options to choose from:
- Add Max Characters to include for the social media summary. I like to check out my post excerpts in WordPress (or the first para of a post), and choose a number higher than that. Normally 250-300.
- Add a Prefix or Suffix to be posted with your post summary. This is a great place for emojis or hashtags.
- For the following I like to:
- Yes – Add ___ Previous Posts
- No – Include New Post Disabled
- No – Add new posts at the beginning of the Autolist
- Click “Save“
- Now choose:
- Where to Publish: Facebook
- Timing of posts (I like to post 2-3 times a week)
- You can also edit all the posts that are going to go out. This should include all the previous posts that checked above under “Add ___ Previous Posts”
- You can add summaries, emojis, and anything else customized per Facebook post.
- Under Configuration > Facebook > you can choose Stories or Reels or Posts
- Under Configuration click “REPEAT“
3. Additional Scheduler Tools for Metricool Admins
- From the “Calendar” on the right in the submenu, you can see your scheduled posts! Your Facebook posts should have a reschedule post schedule on each day of the week that you chose before.
- From here you can click individual posts to edit post, and you can also edit from the “List” submenu item at the top.
- If you would like to remove all posts, it’s SO EASY. Just go to “Autolists” in the submenu, and delete your RSS feed list that you created!
- To see post insights, click the “Analytics” menu item in the top black left menu in your dashboard.
- From the “Planning” menu item, you can edit existing scheduled posts and their formatting options., add new custom posts with their schedule button, adjust custom specific times, and even add screenshots and other images if you prefer.
- From the “Planning” menu item, you can also see best times for scheduling to the Facebook App and each specific time for your posts – once Metricool has had a chance to log your data and track your social media account schedules.
- When you publish new posts to your website, your own posts will automatically be added to your Metricool RSS. There is no need to keep adding your new posts to the top of the group!
- Just like on your Facebook Scheduler Meta Business Suite, you can monitor and respond to messages with the “Inbox” tab on the top menu.
- Posts that scheduled with Metricool, will show a “Scheduled with Metricool” note JUST FOR YOU the admin and moderators. That will not show to your followers.
- Under “Planning”, you can click “+Create Post” to schedule a singular individual custom post at a later time or to “post now”.
- At this time, it’s not possible to schedule to Facebook Groups, just Facebook Pages.
- This is the easiest way I’ve found for how to set up recurring posts on Facebook. I hope you enjoy!
